The month of April marks the 20 year anniversary of the horrific Oklahoma City bombing. I was living in Florida in 1995, but still vividly remember the terrible event of April 19, 1995 .
I recently read an article about the major transformation of Oklahoma City since the bombing. One of the things mentioned in the article was the challenge to all Oklahomans to provide an act of kindness or service to commemorate the bombing. Obviously, a great deal of service was rendered to those involved with the bombing and devastation and this is a way to honor and recognize those killed that day.
I’ve always believed that providing service to others is the way we honor God. A simple act of kindness and service can brighten the day of one who may not be having the best of days. I urge us all to take this challenge to provide service to another(s) who may need our good works.
